The Present | Lone Doctrine

April 3, 2017

Our instinct, our minds, and are hearts are a true barometer for recognizing when something is out of balance. Whether it’s the past, our harships, challenges, or goals the truth is most of what we have in life is NOW. This very moment.

You can be your own worst critic but you can also be your own advocate. The choice is yours, it’s not to say that making that choice will automatically get rid of any and all negative thoughts but that choice will give you the will to gently pull yourself back to being your biggest supporter rather than your worst enemy.

Most of us are caught up in the “what has already happened” and the “what might be,” it becomes a challenge to be in the moment for a lot of us. Our thoughts consistently jump all over the place. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe it’s a matter of not ever thinking of the past or the future but I think there’s a personalized healthy balance for us all.

A great symphony only becomes just that because of the highs, the lows, the loud, and the soft, the pushes and the pulls. You are creating your symphonic masterpiece each and every day. Learn from the past, do not overly concern yourself with the future because tomorrow isn’t promised.

What you have is this very moment, so make the best of each day, each minute, and each second.
